Skip Crackle Pop @ Kavarna (Oakhurst/Decatur) SCP is on currently on hiatus. I hope to meet again in spring 2010. Skip Crackle Pop is a monthly open-mic jukebox for vinyl lovers in Atlanta, Georgia. Attendees are invited to bring a record (7", 10", or 12") and play one song from it for the rest of the group. Think of it as a vinyl pot luck, if you will. Participants are encouraged to preface the song with an explanation of why the song was chosen. Perhaps it played during your first kiss, or perhaps you want others to appreciate the post-punk-Afro-Cuban-ironic-garage-jungle beat. Either way you've got a captive audience. There are a few rules: 1) The evening's playlist is first come, first serve.
