APRIL 28, 2009

Rene's monthly improv show coincided with tonight's Skip Crackle Pop, so Jay had to accept the challenge of being the night's DJ. Setting up the equipment was so easy that Jay declared, "Rene's fired." Five minutes later, scorching feedback erupted for at least five seconds. "Rene, you're rehired."

Ten people were in attendance specifically for SCP. A handful of other patrons stuck around, too, including one couple on a date who surprisingly paid attention to the set list and laughed at many of the stories. SCP is definitely evolving into more of a social event than a performance event. Also, attendees have been allowed to play more than one record, because until more people attend there's no reason to stop the party early.

The set list can be found below, and photos from this meeting can be found here.
