Upon setting up, one of the bartenders asked if there was a show tonight. I told her, "Not exactly. People get together and play records." She asked if the show would go late and I cut her off at the pass. "Don't worry. We'll be out of here by 10 PM." She did one of those downward elbow moves, yesssss. I've become permanent DJ, but that doesn't mean I know what I'm doing. A loud, annoying buzz in the speakers nearly caused me to throw a temper tantrum and call off the event. Luckily, Aaron gave it a shot and fixed the problem by grounding a wire to a sweet spot. Skip Crackle Pop finally got under way half an hour late and I was able to maintain my dignity for a least a little longer. There were some new faces to the event, but the crowd tally still didn't exceed a dozen people (not including customers on their laptops). Despite starting late, the tunes of the evening went by quickly and everyone was out of Kavarna by 9:45 PM (yesssss). I think our bartender might have considered that better than a tip. The set list can be found below, and photos from this meeting can be found here. |

Outkast (Reprise) | I Like The Way You Move | We Are The World skipped like crazy, so Outkast's smoove groove was put on instead. Kavarna's bartender happily danced. | |||
